Letters From The Southern Hemisphere

Hey Emily.

I can't think: the heat has blistered my brain. Everywhere we walk is three times further than it should be - once for the distance, once for the damn sun and once for the, er, strange instructions we're given by tourist information. If they say go right, go left. We wandered around the strange Space Needle-type object in the centre of Kuala Lumpur for most of a morning, trying to figure out a way in and when we finally did, we were confronted with hordes of screaming kids (end of May is "screaming kids month") and the world's highest MacDonalds restaurant, official. The day was muggy, so we didn't throw stones.

My heat blisters have heat blisters, and we drink starfruit juice in ancient cafes in the vain hope our minds haven't atrophied. Too late.

Love, Everett
