Letters From The Southern Hemisphere

Hey Nicolle.

We are now in Singapore, our favourite place so far - it's so American! It's clean and elegant, with air conditioning everywhere, and efficient public transport. There are cheap eats, and people who smile at you in the street and go out of their way to help you if you show even a hint of bewilderment and promise you free Singapore Slings if you can just make it across the road. Everyone looks prosperous and healthy and able to fell the opposition with a single blow. Eating and drinking and smoking and spitting are strictly forbidden in public, and the skyline is a delight to witness.

Not like America at all, then.

Love, Everett
