Letters From New Zealand

I can't sleep. Bleedin' hay-fever has me in its grip again...

Near Napier, I phoned a Spin editor from a tiny village phone while waiting to eat 'the best fish'n'chips in New Zealand'. Their words, their award, not mine. Spin finally wanted me to work for them - in the middle of a four week driving tour of NZ!

Also, as Charlotte points out annoyed, of course there was a highlight at Kiwifruit Country. The 50s factory machine, which sorted through the fruit by hurling them high into the air, to land softly into bays pre-sorted by weight. An excellent device, one thoroughly suited for use in Carry On films. Apparently, even eggs appreciated being treated this way.
