Thanks to Dickon for putting me onto the delights of The Hidden Cameras… as a result their anthemic ‘Ban Marriage’ has been playing non-stop all day, sounding marvellous in the sunlight with its rollicking runaway gospelpop resounding through the eaves. Ditto their ‘fear of ‘zine failure’ which has me thinking of strange coalitions of the Bluebells and the Bats swinging from chandeliers in Toronto porn theatres. And incidentally, what ARE they putting in the water over there anyway? I think I need some of it.
